Great Opportunity for a 340 or Better Bull

Davila Ranch –

This 12,000 acre ranch is situated on the Continental Divide in elevations between 7000-9000 feet.  It is about 50 miles east from Springerville, Arizona and about 200 miles southwest from Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The terrain varies from rugged and steep on the east half, to flat and rolling hills on the west side. Ponderosa pines mingled with juniper dominate the vegetation of the higher elevations on the east side. Pinion and cedar are more prevalent in the lower elevations on the west side. Waters are good, located throughout the ranch are natural springs, windmill-fed metal drinkers and dirt cattle tanks. The ranch runs 25-30 head of cows, but the emphasis is on providing habitat for the elk.

Hunting consists of spot and stalking and sitting in established ground blinds and tree stands near the best waters.  The ranch is located in unit 15. This unit is a primitive weapons only unit; it has not been hunted with a rifle. This can lead to greater opportunity for success at a 6x6 300-class bull.
